The company I work with did a company team building outing. There was a big age gap and sizes. We did the gold package for the 11 of us. We had so much fun and the staff worked with us to ensure we had the best possible experience on a rainy Friday! We were concerned because we didn't have 72 hour notice, however, Ashley, the Corporate Events manager, took time to call early the morning of the event to help guide me and offer suggestions for getting the most out of our visit. Maria at the Start line (check in) patiently waiting while our teammates trickled in. When there was a travel delay for one and another that couldn't ride the go carts for a medical reason, Sheff (Shifra) and Jeovany helped us reschedule our race times and change the ticket for the other. That was the one impressive aspect to their team over all. They were patient and friendly! Special thanks to Marcus in the restaurant side. It was no easy task to keep up with us. I think the team's favorite was the laser tag. With two stories, it created more challenging places to hide and get the upper hand. The kartz were great and did accommodate some of us more "fluffy" drivers. I would definitely recommend this for a corporate outing, tame bachelor's party, graduation celebration, or teenager party. If you are an active duty or veteran, there is an advantage to purchasing your tickets AT the venue.
The karting itself is surprisingly fun and technical but a lot of the small things surrounding it is quirky in how it operates. First off, the staff is awesome and most staff I was able to strike up normal conversation with, get tips, and all were generally welcoming in all interactions I’ve had. Shoutout to the track staff in particular for really having a hustle culture in clearing incidents, as their ability to resolve incidents quickly was very helpful, and they seemed to be excellent at only slowing down the race when absolutely needed, letting some incidents self resolve; this takes what would normally be a miserable crowded track experience and instead allows drivers to continue undisrupted in a safe manner, and incidents that did require intervention were resolved swiftly and staff went out of their way to get off the track as soon as physically possible. The track isn’t too large but is standard indoor fare with a good bit of elevation change and multilevel setup. The karts are the right speed for the track, but the surface is so grippy that the track isn’t very technical to drive, albeit the layout itself does take a while to nail down some portions. Supertrack is quite fun to hot lap (the junior track portion is almost too narrow to overtake), and actually makes you use your brakes twice, which isn’t entirely necessary to set an elite time on the normal adult track. Nothing to write home about but one of the better Andretti layouts and good enough to have fun and get technical with. The way races are scheduled is very odd with no pattern or predictability. I showed up on a Monday at opening and the first race was at 10:08am, which was great and I was the only person on the race, largely because it’s effectively impossible to register and make a purchase within 8 minutes of opening (or 3 minutes, as you’re requested to be at briefing 5 minutes before). Why not just wait until the next block at 10:16? The same day I ran a second race at 10:40, and the next race wasn’t until 11:52 for adults. There wasn’t any events and there was a decent amount of dead time on the track. Again, why would you choose to operate it this way? Other (newer) Andretti locations I’ve been to for example had a constant schedule of 1 of each type of race every 30 minutes the entire weekday, which isn’t perfect but is predictable and easy to work with. On the other hand, I visited a following Tuesday for supertrack, and at 10am opening the first race wasn’t until 11:20am, an hour and a half after open. There was multiple(!!!) available and empty intermediate/junior races, and while I was able to race earlier by running a converted race slot from a junior to an adult race it again just doesn’t make sense. This large amount of dead time makes it feel like you’re being insinuated to spend money on other things, and while I get some things included with the current summer pass (unironically a really good value) it just doesn’t rub the right way. With such an unpredictable schedule online reservations would be helpful. The arcade is relatively expensive and the attractions ala carte aren’t cheap either. I will give credit though that the arcade prize selection is quite unique but could be larger, having Lego sets and retro game cartridges for an older audience available is honestly awesome.
Great for children and teenagers and even adults interested in racing. Many video games and decent restaurant for adults and Birthday party rooms for kids. Very loud but enjoyable.
I had a very disappointing experience at Andretti today, largely how the situation was handled by staff—specifically Tim (manager) and Mark. Our group of six purchased race experiences together in a single transaction. Despite this, we were split into separate groups, which made no sense given that we came together and clearly wanted to race together. When we raised this concern, we weren’t met with any effort to help or even basic understanding. Tim, the manager, was especially unprofessional. His tone was dismissive and disrespectful, and he showed zero empathy toward our situation. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, he made us feel like we were a problem rather than paying customers. Mark wasn’t helpful either and seemed uninterested in assisting or improving the situation. What made the experience worse was how we were treated overall—it felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. No customer should feel looked down on or disregarded, regardless of the situation. To be clear, the facility itself is great, and Andretti as a venue has a lot of potential. However, customer service is a huge part of the experience, and today it completely fell short. I hope management takes this seriously, because employees in customer-facing roles should know how to communicate respectfully and handle concerns professionally.
