Go Karting USA lists 309 operating go-kart tracks across 44 states. Every listing is built from named sources, refreshed automatically, and audited by hand. This page explains exactly where the data comes from and what we do when it goes stale.
Ratings, review counts, visitor reviews, opening hours, photos and coordinates come from the Google Places API and are refreshed on an automated schedule. We never edit or filter reviews.
Pricing, age and height requirements, and session formats are collected from each venue’s own published information, with the source URL and collection date stored alongside the data.
We run recurring sweeps for closures, dead websites and broken photos. When a venue shuts, its page stays up marked permanently closed, pointing racers to the nearest alternatives instead of a dead end.
Owners can claim their listing free of charge and correct anything we got wrong. Corrections from verified owners take priority over automated data.
The whole site is rebuilt from the live database at least weekly, so ratings, hours and track counts you see are never more than days old. Each track page shows the month its listing data was last verified against Google Places.
Pricing is the hardest data to keep current — venues change rates without notice, and only about 46% of US tracks publish prices at all. Where we show pricing, it comes from the venue's own website with the collection date stored; treat it as a guide and confirm before you travel. Currently 142 of 309 listed tracks have published pricing, and 263 have verified opening hours.
When we discover a permanently closed venue, we don't delete it. The page stays up, clearly marked closed, and points you to the nearest operating tracks — because a page that says "closed, race here instead" is more useful than a 404.
Track owners can claim their listing to correct it directly. Anyone else can email us — data corrections are typically applied within a few days.
