K1 Speed Wilmington
Wilmington (20 min north of Boston)
The closest big-name option to the city sits just off I-93 in Wilmington. K1 Speed’s Massachusetts location carries a 4.3-star rating built over 2,600 reviews, running the chain’s standard formula: fast electric karts, timed sessions, and leaderboards that turn a casual visit into a grudge match.
This is the practical pick for North Shore and Cambridge racers who want laps without a highway pilgrimage. Corporate groups use it heavily, and the no-membership drop-in model suits a spontaneous evening. It’s a pure racing venue rather than an entertainment complex, so come to drive, not to make a day of it.

Lincoln, RI (45 min from Boston)
The highest-rated track in this guide is over the Rhode Island line. R1 in Lincoln holds 4.6 stars across 2,300 reviews, and the recurring theme is staff who handle kids, birthdays, and first-timers with unusual patience. The electric karts have serious pace at the adult level, and the attached attractions, from laser-tag-style Time Mission to the axe bar, absorb whoever isn’t racing.
For anyone south of the city, the drive down I-95 is barely longer than crossing Boston at rush hour. It’s the best family pick of the four, and strong enough on pure racing that adults won’t feel they’ve settled.

MONZA World Class Karting at Foxwoods

The wildcard: an indoor electric track inside the Foxwoods resort complex in Connecticut. MONZA rates 4.2 stars from around 280 reviews, and it works best as part of a casino or resort trip rather than a dedicated karting pilgrimage; reviewers rate the facility itself well but note the karts can be less consistently maintained than at the dedicated venues above.
If you’re already at Foxwoods with a group, it’s a genuinely fun hour and the track can be rented for private parties. If karting is the whole point of your day, Supercharged and R1 are both closer to Boston and sharper on the racing itself.
