West Peoria has run family entertainment at Kartville for generations, an outdoor fun park where go-karts share the property with dune buggies, bumper boats, mini-golf, and batting cages. The karting is classic Midwest summer: an outdoor circuit, weather permitting, where kids graduate from rides to real steering and parents remember they still have a competitive streak. More than six hundred reviews put it comfortably above four stars, the mark of a place locals return to rather than a tourist stop. Nothing here pretends to be a racing academy, and that is the point. Kartville is where central Illinois goes for a warm evening of laps and ice cream, and it has held that role long enough to become an institution.
Checked the website earlier in the week and made our plans to enjoy a night at Kartville. Arrived early with a picnic so that we could be ready at 7pm to do the $20 all you can ride 2 hour pass... with four kids. Found out at the window they decided, on the first beautiful night all week, they were closing at 8 and not doing the passes. The gal at the office did offer any reason, wouldn't offer a discount, and wasn't apologetic. Booooo! Folks, you need to update your website, post signs, and work on customer service when you change your posted hours and deals. The kids did have fun for 50 minutes, but it was not the evening we had planned. As we were leaving at 8, three people had just arrived. They had driven all the way from BRIMFIELD, and were just turned away. F-
We had an absolute blast here today. Staff was friendly, had a couple of fun races on the track, and then a bumpy excursion on the dune buggy course! Kids loved it and it was very affordable.
This was an amazing day! The staff were all friendly and respectful. I'm a bit older and out of shape, but the young guys didn't complain or get impatient waiting for me to get in and out of rides. We were celebrating my granddaughter turning 10. So you know this old kid at heart had to jump in. It was so fun watching her expression, just like her dad when he got to experience Kartville the first time. Thanks for the memories and ability to create more for a new generation of parents and kids!
We had a time here! Its small but definitely enjoyable. You pay for each ride, a la carte so don’t come here looking for deals. They have kids working so don’t expect great customer service. Just pull up for the vibes and something to do in the middle of nowhere Peoria. I would definitely not come back because once you did it, you did it but if you are around the way, I would recommend the visit!
