01 / OVERVIEW

ABOUT THIS TRACK

Corona spreads across Southern California's inland flatlands between Los Angeles and San Diego, and K1 Speed serves the substantial local population looking for weekend activities. Electric karts run indoors, which means consistent conditions and no weather disruptions. Families, corporate groups, and casual racers all find space on the track throughout the week. The location is straightforward and efficient; people come for racing and games, not for any particular ambiance or experience beyond clean operations. Corona's growth has created a young, growing demographic with kids and energy, which shows in the busy weekends and birthday party bookings. The facility doesn't try to be anything other than what it is, which resonates with locals who value directness over pretense. It's the kind of place where multiple generations of a family might show up for celebrations without anyone worrying about whether it's cool or not.

Great date night idea if you’re in the Inland Empire :) No need to purchase ahead unless it’s a big party. When we got there, we signed up there for 3 races. It was a good amount as they go pretty fast (10 min max.) They sell food like wings and pizza and drinks there but I brought my own water bottle and we ate dinner before. On a Friday night, there was about a 30 minute wait until we were added onto a race. There were some guys that were competitive and kept bumping into me and made me spin out and the employees didn’t kick them out after multiple times of them doing that! And yes, I would move to the side as much as I could. Besides that, the staff were very friendly, they love their jobs, are very kind and helpful. Side note I’m a very anxious person and didn’t like the sensation of the helmet on my face and I didn’t expect that at first 🥲

I came to K1 Speed earlier tonight hoping to have a good time. My wife accompanied me, and initially I thought everything would go smoothly. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When I arrived, I was informed that the wait time for my first race would be over an hour. I accepted that and decided to order food while I waited. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, the food arrived undercooked and incomplete. I returned it and requested a refund rather than canceling my visit entirely because I still wanted to participate in the races. When I finally got into my first race, there was an issue with my kart. The problem was eventually corrected, and I completed the race. However, during the second race, the kart failed completely. I started the race in a leading position, but my kart stopped functioning and effectively ended my race. At that point, I requested a refund because I do not believe it is acceptable to pay premium prices for an experience where the equipment is not operating properly. The karts should be maintained and race ready, especially in a competitive environment where lap times and performance records are an important part of the experience. I come to K1 Speed because I enjoy racing and competing, not because I want to spend my time dealing with equipment failures. I have spent a significant amount of money with K1 Speed over time and generally enjoy racing on your tracks. That is why I was particularly disappointed with this location. In my experience, other K1 Speed locations maintain a much higher standard. Additionally, the condition of the bathrooms was below expectations. For example, water was coming out of the flush button when it was pressed, which is clearly a maintenance issue that needs attention. I genuinely enjoy K1 Speed and would like to continue visiting. My recommendation is that this location receive additional attention regarding maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment reliability. There appear to be operational issues that need to be addressed. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to bring this location up to the standard I have experienced at other K1 Speed venues.

I brought my sons here for one of their birthdays. My youngest is 50" tall, the minimum is 48". He got geared up and went out and sat in a kart and was as told he couldn't race because he couldn't hit the brake pedal. He absolutely 100% was fully capable of braking (he has raced at other K1s before) and now I have to explain to my son, who's 2" above the height requirement, who can hit the brakes without issue, why he can't race. I went to get a refund and the other worker apologized and said the person that denied him is ridiculous...

My kid meets the requirements and he can't ride. Their posted size chart doesn't mean anything. Why post a size chart if it's inaccurate? Apparently there is no way to know if the kid is big enough unless you go in. He can depress the peddles. I don't get it.
