We took the kids for some fun. My son is 11 and daughter 17. They have a Christmas package going on 6 races for $70ish. If you plan to take you little ones, just know that there are Meatheads that drive the track at the same time. You will get banged up and so will your kids. They certain rule the everyone must follow and if you don't you will be thrown off the track. I would say more for adults! They have some games for little kids to play, but I would think long and hard before spending the money on your kid is you know they will struggle and possibly get thrown off. The carts are maintained for the most part. Go luck and have fun.

If you are considering visiting SpeedFactory Greenville, please consider reading this. I have included some tips at the end of this review for first time guests to hopefully make your visit even better. First of all, I would like to say that if I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would. I have been to going to SpeedFactory every day they have been open for a few weeks now. The marshals are very nice and really do want to give every racer the best experience they can. The Karts and timing system are very competitive and accurate so if you care about improving your karting skill, this is a great location to come multiple times to try and beat your last time. My thoughts on the negative reviews: I have read through many of the lower star reviews and it seems that nearly all of them have had one of two main issues. Either A, they or another member of their group was removed from the track; Or B, they or their group had a poor quality race due to many caution flags or race interruptions. Regarding point A (Being removed from the track): I think many people come in with an incorrect mindset to indoor karting. This is not bumper cars or a casual Frankie's track! This is truly a sport where you will be driving fast. If you drive like its bumper cars, you likely WILL be removed. I see it ALL the time, a group of people come in and drive erratically or unsafely and are then removed from track and cannot comprehend why they have been removed. Please do not listen to reviews like this, It's ok to make a mistake and bump a wall lightly (I have done it more than once before) but you need to drive SAFELY and not dangerously. Regarding point B (Many cautions or race disruptions): The other type of bad review you may see are groups complaining about poor race quality due to many cautions or race interruptions. I think once again people have the wrong expectations when going for their first time. This is racing and not casual putting around. If there are safety issues on the track, the marshals will do their best to keep you and other drivers safe by waving the caution flag. Unfortunately in the nature of racing, we are all bound to have races with high amounts of cautions and interruptions from time to time. Please understand me when I say this is NOT on SpeedFactory. They really are trying to keep it safe and clean out there. The reason for the slowdowns is not to ruin your race, but to keep the track safe by often correcting the mistakes (spin outs, stuck on a wall, etc) of other newbie karters. I personally have had 4 races in a row with straight cautions! Not once did I even think to blame SpeedFactory at all, this is simply the sport of racing. Sometimes it happens and that's something people should expect to potentially encounter. If you go to a different track you will have the exact same experience. Once again, this is real racing and having many race interruptions is simply a fact of the sport sometimes. TIPS FOR FIRST TIMERS: When you arrive (Make sure to wear close toe shoes) you will be instructed to watch a safety video. PLEASE pay attention to this video. It will teach you flags and standard procedure. This isn't some "low thrill Disney safety brief", it's actually important you understand the rules so you can obey the marshals. If you do not understand the rules of the track, do not be surprised if you are removed. Secondly, PLEASE obey the marshals; they know what's best and likely have more track awareness than you, so trust that they have your best interest in mind in terms of safety. Watch the marshals as you pass by on the track to see if they are waving any flags at you. So many times I see newbies blast right by a waving yellow flag because they aren't paying attention or deliberately ignoring it. It's really not hard to watch for flags and simply follow the rules. Drive predictably, smoothly, and safely and you WILL have a good time. Lastly, If you see me out there (Timothy Reece) and you want some tips, just ask. I'm not the fastest guy out there but I definitely can help a curious beginner. Happy Racing!

We had a great time. Got most of our service and parts department out to do some racing. Fun place to get some competitive racing in.

I would give zero stars if possible. Ran by a bunch of kids who are rude and laughed in my face when I asked what I did wrong. I was “black flagged” after one lap. For hitting the side rail . I paid 161 $ for three races (26 minutes of racing) and 5000$ worth of insurance for them to kick me off and refuse to refund me after 1 minute . This place is complete scam. Please safe yourself the money and go somewhere else.

The sport is fun, and my group had a lot of fun. I'm leaving a 2-star review only because of the miscommunication with the staff. I had called ahead of time to make a reservation for my company. When I called to request information, I stated that this is my first time doing an activity like this with my team, so I asked them for advice on group options and pricing. Since my party had over 20 people, they recommended doing a group package. I asked if they had a website where I could review the pricing options, but they said no and then proceeded to ask if I wanted to make a reservation. I said yes and told them that I would come with ABOUT 23 people. The lady said ok and immediately put me on the schedule. I then arrived at Speed Factory with most of my team; some were unable to attend due to various reasons. To my surprise, the lady at the counter told me that I had to pay for the people who didn't show up. I stated that this was not communicated to me when I was asked to make a reservation. When I called to request information, I informed the staff that I didn't know how making a reservation worked and told them my party was ABOUT 23 people. After saying those two things, they should've communicated with me about having to give them an exact number of people and about no-show fees. After a lot of back and forth, I asked if I could pay for the admission of people who didn't show up, but allow me to play the round with my team. THEY SAID NO. This was very frustrating because it was a lot of money, and I feel like they took advantage of the situation. I ended up paying for the no-show and proceeded to play with my team because it seemed there was nothing I could do. To my other discontent, I then found out that we couldn't even pick our teams, so we didn't get to play against the people that we wanted. Overall, it was a very poor experience. I would be willing to delete this review and return with my team if I could speak with a manager and receive a refund or credit for the no-show fee that I paid.
