From Karah (maybe spelled Cara?) at the front desk to George Michael on the racetrack, this staff made sure we had a 12/10 experience. This track has two floors and lots of fun turns to learn and develop a strategic approach. We chose to do three races and got the ultimate experience. George Michael was an excellent coach and we will be back for more tips/training, as he offers teaching classes! We didn’t eat any food, but there are options, from snacks to dinner type options. They are waiting for their liquor license (someone please approve this!!) so not adult juice boxes yet….but hopefully soon. We tried going on the weekend but it was so popular there was a wait. We came back during the week and got onto the track super fast! Try out this location - highly recommend!!!

Apon arriving, there is free parking and fairly ample amount of it. Hardly anywhere in this densely packed area can you get free parking. Inside the lobby area are lots of racing memorabilia including a Ferrari and McLaren indy car and various racing suits from professional drivers. There are plenty of games to play while you wait to go race. There is a lounge upstairs to watch the race from and has separate rooms for parties and private events. The track and karts are the best of all K1 speeds I have been to. The track grip has what appears to be a roofing coating over the track that has a bit of nap to keep the texture up to give the karts more grip. Construction of the track seams well thought out and the ramps don't move at all when racers are climbing or making their decent. The karts are the new super legeros, which are the best K1 offers for their indoor tracks. They are kept up nicely and the head mechanic must be doing a great job because the is very little notice of which kart is better then the next. My experience with the staff has been great. Each person I've delt with has been very cordial and helpful. Justin who seams to be running things always has helpful and encouraging hints around the track and what the best offers are currently going on at this location. Alissa is also very helpful and willing to spend the time answering questions instead of rushing each person along. At times there is a long wait but if you go to the best restaurant in town, of course you will have to wait. What I may suggest is; if there is more then a 2 hour wait, have an automated call, call or text you 20-30 min before your 1st race so your time isn't wasted. Overall, I love the venue and will definitely come back.

Cool venue, nice setup, but carts was soooo slow. $45 to go on a scenic stroll. Complete waste of money. The thing that sucks about K1 is they can arbitrarily set the speed. And I usually place pretty well when I kart and have a decent experience in it. So not like I was a noob and crashing out there. But wow this thing barely moved the entire race. I was getting smoked in the straight away by my friends that have never beat me anywhere we’ve raced. It would like auto slow down coming into corners. So for whatever reason, they either intentionally decided to lower my speed or someone just messed up. And there’s nothing you can do about it. Was pumped waited for a year for this place to open up blocks away from me too. Maybe my first and last visit.

I ranked number 7 in the international K1RS leaderboard. I traveled to all So Cal K1 speed for time attack. I am currently the record holder at K1 Torrance and ex- K1 Culver City (29.77 sec). I have to say Culver City has the best K1speed facility and the newest superleggero karts. The staffs are very friendly and they maintain the track very well. I see a lot of reviews regarding issue with the downhill speed limiter. We need to understand, these go-karts are very fast and they don’t have ABS like a regular car. If K1 did not put the speed limiter. Lots of ppl will get spin out or go straight into the wall which will result in injuries. As a racer, the speed limiter really spoiled the fun but everyone’s safety is the priority. I need to give a shout out to Justin and Alyssa!!!! Justin has a lot of experience in indoor and outdoor karting. He demonstrates excellent mentoring to track staffs and provide excellent customer service. He doesn’t boss staffs around. He actually demonstrates good leadership in showing and doing the work with the track staffs. Please look at the pics. As for Alyssa, she provides excellent customer service at the front desk and mentor front desk staffs how to schedule races appropriately and minimize the wait time. I wish Justin and Alyssa are available to go to other K1 speed locations to mentor and improve other locations.

They didnt allow me to enter a Standard Race with only 4 racers and made me wait to race one hour and a half after many empty racer laps. never experienced this in my many years of visiting many k1 locations. spoke to manager "eric" and he stated that i needed to wait in order ; even though many races continued without a full nor half full track. some people even repeated races various times. i could of raced at least 3 more times while on standby . not to mention original wait time was 3 1/2 hours so i returned after 2 hoping some races may open up . after complaining i noticed new walk-ins went before me only waiting like an hour. very currupt system not good for business.
